Our client is a European LegalTech startup founded in response to EU Directive 2023/970 on Pay Transparency. Its platform helps companies prepare in advance for the Directive’s requirements by automating the validation, analysis, visualization, and optimization of salary policies in line with EU standards.
Challenges
The client approached us with a self-developed R-based salary equity model for EU Pay Transparency Directive compliance. They needed to transform this algorithm into a secure web platform within 4 months and capture first-mover advantage in this newly regulated market. Time constraints and the unique characteristics of the product led to the following challenges:
Technical Limitations
The mathematical model for salary calculations was written in R (a statistical programming language well-suited for research and data analysis but not optimized for modern web infrastructure).
Lack of a User-Facing Solution
Clients cannot visualize or analyze data due to missing tools. It was necessary to implement a program using user-friendly tools that would allow clear and rapid tracking of required parameters.
Competitive Pressure
The law has only recently come into effect, so there are currently no analogous solutions on the market, as all projects are still in development. Hence, we must launch our solution urgently to counter newly emerged competitors.
Data Security
Safeguarding confidential data while ensuring GDPR compliance and preparing for ISO 27001 certification creates operational complexity. We must implement rigorous controls without compromising system performance or agility.
Solutions
We have developed a compliance-driven web platform that allows users to calculate payroll and ensure salary equity across European organizations and companies. Our team built a fully functional MVP with the core features in <4 months.
STEP 1
Custom Web Interface Development
We built an intuitive web interface allowing users to:
- Upload salary data,
- Validate format compliance,
- Run calculations via the embedded mathematical model,
- Visualize results through dashboards adapted for different scenarios.

R-Model Integration
While R isn't ideal for web solutions due to its single-threaded nature, rewriting the entire model wasn’t viable due to deadlines. We kept it as is but ensured seamless web interaction to preserve intellectual value while making it accessible to end users.
STEP 3
Speed Priority
The market was nascent with minimal competition, making timing critical. We worked rapidly without quality compromises to ensure that RP-360 would enter the market first with this solution.
STEP 4
Role-Specific Flexibility
The interface was designed for diverse user roles—HR directors, CEOs, and business analysts. Each gets timely insights in a personalized format.

Data Protection
Anadea ensured that all data processing and management solutions comply with GDPR requirements. The product was prepared from day one for upcoming ISO 27001 certification.
