SIA ERGB is a Latvian e-commerce provider and innovator in recreation and amusement services who is actively scaling its services and products to new markets. They came with the idea to help reunite people with their lost belongings
Challenges
The client chose Anadea, as an experienced software development partner, who could help them build a mobile application for lost items retrieval (car keys, luggage, smartphones and other gadgets, pets, clothes, etc.) It was key to make the process of managing all the things effortless and simplify a return for a discoverer. Among other goals and challenges were:
-
Enable technically simple and efficient tagging of the item
-
Establish a hassle-free flow of an item return
-
Gather functional and non-functional requirements to build a cross-platform mobile app
-
Develop intuitive and engaging UX/UI design
-
Build a structured development roadmap aligned with industry standards
-
Provide flexible and scalable architecture that meets growing customer base
-
Ensure seamless integration of the app frontend with its backend and other systems
Client Request
“We need a system to help users find lost items quickly—no unnecessary complexity”.
Solutions

-
Anadea closely collaborated with the client to fully align backend and frontend components.
-
Together, we came up with the ways to simplify interaction with the product and enhance brand awareness.
-
A mobile app FindCow (a core product) for item retrieval via QR code. Users attach QR stickers to valuables, add details in the app, manage codes, and get instant notifications if an item is found.
-
An informational website explaining the product’s value and directing users to app stores.
-
An online store for selling physical QR code carriers (keychains, stickers).
Key Stages of Development
STEP 1
Proving the Solution Feasibility
-
Conducted 10+ sessions to map user journeys, define MVP scope, and align on technical feasibility of the solution.
-
Designed clickable prototypes in Figma to visualize flows like QR creation and item recovery.
-
Delivered features in 2-week cycles, allowing real-time client feedback and pivots.
STEP 2
Selecting an Optimal Tech Stack
-
Using Flutter’s single codebase allowed cutting development costs and making changes rapidly compared to native applications.
-
Non-core features were deferred to the second phase to prioritize QR generation and item recovery functionalities.
STEP 3
Integration with Backend
The frontend (UX/UI design) components of a solution were fully aligned with the backend logic, interacting efficiently through APIs.
-
Anadea worked closely with the client’s backend team to refine API endpoints, handle technical difficulties, and errors on the way.
-
Implemented manual QA checks to mitigate data mismatches and latency issues.
Core Platform Features
-
Pay-As-You-Go Subscriptions
Enabled monthly/annual plans. Even if a user pauses payments, their QR history stays intact (ability to reactivate anytime to recover lost item alerts).
-
Dashboard
Pre-sorted categories (Tech, Pets, Personal) make navigation instant. All changes are synced across different devices in real time.
-
Localization
Launched in 5+ languages, the product is primed for rapid expansion into new regions, with localization frameworks that simplify adding languages or regional features.
-
Simple Recovery Flow
The person who finds a lost item doesn't need to download an app or create an account. They simply scan a QR code and leave their contact details to inform the owner.
